This workshop provides a broad yet detailed coverage of project scheduling for both the less experienced planner/schedulers as well as the seasoned project management professionals who recognize that having a better understanding of the scheduling tools, techniques, and scheduling philosophies can have a major impact to performance assessments and day-to-day project management decision making. The workshop presents an array of scheduling methods and approaches, with emphasis on the Critical Path Method. A fundamental background of scheduling concepts and their specific applications is presented. This workshop explains how to interpret schedule reports, detect early warnings of potential schedule slips, and how to recognize abuses which can invalidate a scheduling system or the data. This workshop includes a mixture of lecture, discussion, and hands-on exercises for the students to practice and apply what they learn.
