Importance of Data Quality Checks

An important part of the EVMS implementation process, especially during the first few months, is the continual monitoring of the system's data integrity. H&A can review the data produced to ensure the system implementation is being followed. We can train project personnel on how to monitor and use the data as well as to appreciate the importance of proper maintenance and analysis of the data. This ongoing review of system reports, internal and customer reporting data, schedule and cost health metrics as well as continuous trace of approved changes through the logs, work authorization documents, and cost and schedule baselines is critical to successful project execution.
