NASA Schedule Management Handbook - dated January 2020

Schedule management supports program and project management as a whole and is identified as one of the key functions that aids decision making in NASA's Project Planning and Control (PP&C) paradigm. This handbook provides schedule management guidance for NASA Headquarters, NASA Centers, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, inter-government partners, academic institutions, international partners, and contractors. The guidance in this handbook helps to ensure NASA program or project managers are meeting the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

The intent of this handbook is to support NASA's schedule management function by providing best practices proven to be successful within the Agency that reflects NASA specific needs. It discusses the schedule products for each program/project life cycle phase in accordance with NASA requirements and policies. It also discusses recommended practices that supplement the schedule management best practices.
